A Live In Carer Companion is needed to provide assistance and support to a young adult based in Chigwell, Essex. The client is mostly independent but may need some assistance with mobility and some aspects of personal care on occasion. The Carer Companion will be required to work for 7 days a week and the time off will be discussed in advance with the client, flexibility is required.

There is a strong team of people working with the client on a daily basis to help with education, physical wellbeing and independence skills and the Carer Companion will work closely with the existing support team. Someone who knows how to drive is ideal but not a must.

You will also be responsible for

• Helping with some aspects of personal care
• Accompanying the client on days out to various activities like swimming and other physical activities
• Cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner (also any snacks between meals)
• Keeping the home tidy and some general housekeeping duties
• Ensuring the client is comfortable and safe
